Plein Air at The Confluence Greenway, Jan 10

Lon did some plein air painting at The Confluence Greenway yesterday.  They’re about 12″ x 14″ or so, both in oil.

Here’s the second one.

The Latest

New paintings

Here are some of the latest paintings Lon has made.

This is a plein air oil painting of the field and woods across the street from our house Lon did on Sunday, Sept 11.  The size is 24″ x 14″.

These paintings were done Monday, Sept. 12.  They are all 5 inches square in 13 inch square frames.

Art Fair at Queeny Park recap

The Art Fair at Queeny Park was a success.  We sold a painting and a few prints at the show and a couple more paintings after the show.  We made some new friends as well, which is always nice, and won an award of excellence – also very cool.

Here’s a pic of our booth at Queeny.  The second and fourth paintings on the left outside wall are the two that sold last week.

We had to alter the booth QUICKLY when we got there since it was a 10′x8′ space rather than the 10′x10′ of most shows.  That meant taking off one of our panels and rethinking how to reconfigure the lights.  Luckily, Lon is great at thinking on the fly and he was able to pull it together and it didn’t look like we’d ever had a problem.

All considered, it was a good show and we’ll keep it on the list to possibly participate again next year.

Lon’s latest show

Yesterday Lon and I delivered paintings to St. Charles Community College for their upcoming show:

SCCC Art Invitational mailer

Look how nice it is that Lon is listed first!  It must be great to have a last name that starts with the letter B.  My last name, being Tucker, has put me at the end of the line for so many things….

Here are a couple pics of paintings that are in the show.  He has nine paintings in the show, so you’ll have to come out to see the rest.   free eats and at least one wall of good art, so it’ll be worth the trip.
